We love balance bikes at Inspiral Cycles! They're perfect for children too small for pedal bikes, or who would traditionally be put on a 12" wheeled bike with stabilisers. They learn to balance and steer, while having great fun "scooting" along with their feet. Having learnt these essential skills, they're able to move straight onto a pedal cycle with no stabilisers when they're tall enough.

The Frog Tadpole is the perfect lightweight balance bike to get young children started on two wheels. It's suitable for riders aged 2-3 years with a minimum inside leg of 31cm. It also has a "locking headset", which limits how far the front wheel can be turned, that makes it far easier to stay on.

  • Easy to grip Tektro rear brake with adjustable lever for smaller hands. The brake is mounted above the rear stay to keep it away from the rider's feet
  • 12" wheels
  • Quick release seat-post for easy height adjustment
  • The locking headset means the handlebars have a steering limiter, which is safer for learners
  • Reflectors and a bell are included. Free 5 year warranty available on the frame and forks, 2 years on all other parts
