This version of the staff-favourite all-round Terra C uses Campagnolo's new Ekar 13-speed (that's right, they're still finding ways to add more gears!) drivetrain that's ideally suited to off-road riding, where the single front chain-ring reduces mechanical complexity and the chance of chain derailment. The wide ratio 9-42T delivers a greater gear range than the 1x competition when used with the same 40T front chain-ring. However, due to the 13 gears on offer it still manages to serve up a healthy ratio across the cassette with more natural gear progressions. Hydraulic disc brakes ensure power and control are always at your fingertips. The flared handlebars not only increase your control over rough terrain, but also allow you to fit a large handlebar-bag for long-distance and bikepacking adventures.
Excelling on the road, trails and everything in between, the Terra C is a light but surprisingly tough carbon gravel bike that’ll open your eyes to new ways of riding. When fitted with slicks or low-profile semi-slick tyres this bike is a speed machine on-road, and George has even used his in a triathlon! Fit chunky tyres (the bike can accommodate up to 42c) and it reveals its off-road prowess – Gary used his to complete the Hamsterley Beast in 2018, which included all the black MTB trails! This bike is perfect for mixed-terrain riding, switching between roads and paths on the same ride without skipping a beat, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.
Terra C is characterised by its light responsive ride quality, built with the specifications necessary to provide capable control across varied terrain. An adaptive bike crafted to ensure that your next adventure, new route, or old commute is a total blast.
The frame geometry is poised to descend and corner with ease inspiring confident off-road handling. Take it back to the tarmac and the excellent power transfer provided by the carbon layup is immediately apparent. Innegra fibres are woven into the carbon at strategic locations to protect the frame from impact damage; this ensures the ‘light and fast’ design ethos is met with the durability riders expect. The maximum weight limit for the frame bosses is 5kg.
Terra C now has a semi-integrated front end for an ultra-clean aesthetic. The cables enter the frame via a cable box on the headset and run internally through the headtube, protecting them from the elements completely. Apart from looking seriously slick this also means the frame suffers no cable rub abrasion to the headtube when the handlebars are turned, and no interference with handlebar bags. This new design can also be made fully integrated, so you see no cables at all, with a compatible bar & stem.
