This Adventure-spec version of the Terra C makes the most of the bike’s off-road capabilities, with the new Shimano GRX 1x groupset being ideal for off-road use. It uses a clutch-mech and narrow/wide chainring (technologies developed to meet the demands of aggressive mountain biking) to keep your chain held firmly in place, reducing rattling and eliminating dropped chains. The large 11-42T cassette gives you a wide range of gears, with a single shifter helping to you stay focussed on the terrain ahead. The flared handlebars not only increase your control over rough terrain, but also allow you to fit a large handlebar-bag for long-distance and bikepacking adventures.
The staff-favourite all-round bike that excels on the road, trails and everything in between, the Terra C is a light but surprisingly tough carbon gravel bike that’ll open your eyes to new ways of riding. When fitted with slicks or low-profile semi-slick tyres this bike is a speed machine on-road, and George has even used his in a triathlon! Fit chunky tyres (the bike can accommodate up to 42c) and it reveals its off-road prowess – Gary used his to complete the Hamsterley Beast in 2018, which included all the black MTB trails! This bike is perfect for mixed-terrain riding, switching between roads and paths on the same ride without skipping a beat, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.
The Terra C has road bike weight, with adventure bike aspirations. Carbon fibre is the perfect material for the modern adventure bike due to its low weight, manufacturing versatility and vibration damping properties. Innegra is a very tough, very flexible fibre with great endurance. Its properties make it naturally good at vibration damping and give it great impact resistance. The Terra C has selective Innegra shielding in critical areas of the bike to ward off rock strikes and other impacts.
Orro started with a blank page and designed the geometry from the ground up to cater to the emerging styles of UK riding. The new geometry includes short, size specific chainstays - 420mm in S,M, 425.5mm in L, 450mm in XL), 72mm bottom bracket drop and 50mm fork rake across all sizes. The resultant bike has superior traction, cornering, and stability. Uncompromised Road Handling – Unique geometry and low weight ensures a fast, responsive ride for the ultimate machine that excels at both road and off-road riding. Run it with knobbly tyres for your big adventure rides, switch out to low volume slicks for your road rides. Or run a mid-sized semi-slick for the ultimate all-purpose setup.
Don’t be limited by what drop-bar bikes ‘should’ do. The Terra C affords the freedom to make your own choice, carve any path without restraint and remove the distinction between road and trail. This is an updated and upgraded version of the Terra, with a completely redesigned frame and new UK adventure geometry. The lightweight carbon frame is equipped with Innegra impact protection and available in a line of seriously fast road and adventure builds.
